My Journey with AI and WordPress Plugin Development: Lessons and Reflections

But what started as a straightforward project turned into a complex series of challenges and learning moments.

Temu – How did my order go ?

My wife was looking for a sticker for on our electric car, saying that it is 100 % electric. She found one on temu, so I decided to order it, and also write about the orde. This was on 18 October 2024.  So just for the weekend ordered. Should be here within 5 till 12 BUSINESS days. But before 6 November. If I will not get it by then they tell me that I will get 5 euro.

Today I looked again if the order was already shipped, but no, still not shipped ?

It also is saying that the fastest time it can be here will be 25 October. So another 4 days. The order day did not count if I see this.

During the weekend I already got a lot of promotions emails ! Order this and get 99 % discount, and what already not for more. Including ADD to your excisting order ? Do NOT need anything else, so just ship it !

Temu Purchase Experience – Final Update

On October 18, 2024, my wife was looking for a “100% electric” sticker for our electric car. She found one on Temu, so I decided to place an order and write about the experience. I also added a few extra items to the cart: a saddle bag for my bike, some additional LED lights, and a couple of small bubble levels. All together, it came to about €20.67.

Initially, I expected the order to arrive within 5 to 12 business days, so sometime before November 6. However, by October 25, the order hadn’t even shipped. Even as the days passed, I was constantly bombarded with promotional emails and app notifications, all urging me to buy more. The advertising was relentless, making it clear that Temu’s approach to sales heavily leans on encouraging further purchases.

When the items finally arrived, I was met with mixed results:
– The sticker was larger than expected and not transparent, which wasn’t ideal.
– The saddle bag had a broken zipper.
– The LED lights worked, but the switches were tiny and a bit inconvenient.
– Thankfully, the bubble levels were fine.

To Temu’s credit, when I reported the issues with the items, they promptly credited my account, which was a positive aspect of their customer service. However, the constant promotional pressure does feel overwhelming, especially when I’m not looking to buy more items immediately.

Overall, my experience with Temu has been a bit of a mixed bag. While the customer service response was prompt and satisfactory, the pushy advertising tactics and lower-quality items have left me somewhat hesitant to purchase again.

Eén avond staat me nog helder voor de geest: 16 oktober 1982. Ik had DJ Ronnie, die altijd de beste plaatjes draaide, gevraagd om een cassettebandje op te nemen met de muziek van die avond. Het was een 90 minuten durende tape en in die tijd best een investering, want ik wilde natuurlijk wel een goede kwaliteit opname. Jaren later heb ik de muziek van deze tape gedigitaliseerd naar MP3. Helaas is de originele cassette in de loop der tijd verdwenen… maar vandaag, op 15 oktober 2024, vond ik bij toeval het hoesje terug! Een bijzondere flashback naar die onvergetelijke tijd in Hub Adema.

“The 80s in Leeuwarden… For me, the weekends were inextricably linked with Hub Adema. Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday afternoon: I was always on the dance floor of this legendary dance school. The atmosphere was always fantastic, the music exhilarating and the people friendly. It was the place to be! On Saturday nights, we often combined Hub Adema with a visit to Vat 69, later in the evening, when it got a bit busier there.

One evening I remember vividly: October 16th, 1982. I had asked DJ Ronnie, who always played the best tunes, to record a cassette tape of the music from that night. It was a 90-minute tape and quite an investment at the time, as I wanted a good quality recording, of course. Years later, I digitized the music from this tape to MP3.
