Storage period

Transfer of data to third countries (especially the USA)
We use tools from companies based in third countries (e.g. Google LLC in the USA). When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred there. These countries may not guarantee a level of data protection comparable to the EU. Transfers are usually based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

3. Data collection on this website
Server log files and hosting
This website is hosted externally by the hosting provider KVChosting.net. Personal data collected on this website is stored on the host’s servers. This may include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data and website visits.
The server automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser sends automatically:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources. It is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in a technically error-free website.
Contact by email or form
If you contact us by email or using a form, your request and the personal data in it (name, email address, content) are stored and processed to handle your request. This is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in handling requests effectively (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. E-commerce and payment
Customer and order data
We collect, process and use personal data to process contracts in our online shop (customer, shipping and billing data). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Customer data is deleted after the order is completed or the business relationship ends, subject to statutory retention periods (e.g. commercial or tax law).
Shipping
To deliver your order, we pass the necessary data (name, delivery address, and if applicable phone number/email for parcel notification) to the shipping company (DHL). This is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Payment provider: SumUp
We offer payment via SumUp. The provider is SumUp EU Payments UAB, Ukmergės g. 126, 08100 Vilnius, Lithuania (or affiliated European companies).
If you pay via SumUp, the payment data you enter (e.g. name, amount, card holder, card data and IP address) is sent directly to SumUp. SumUp processes this data as an independent controller according to payment industry security standards (PCI-DSS). The transfer is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. SumUp is legally required to keep transaction data for five years for anti-money-laundering purposes. More information is in SumUp’s privacy policy.
5. Analytics
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics uses cookies that allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
IP anonymisation:
IP anonymisation is active on this website. Your IP address is shortened by Google within the EU or the EEA before it is transferred to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website and compile reports on website activity.
Legal basis:
Google Analytics cookies are only stored and the tool is only used on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). Google Analytics only loads after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser.

6. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address (and your name, if given) to send you the newsletter. Sign-up uses double opt-in: you receive an email in which you confirm your subscription. We manage subscriptions with the WordPress plugin MailPoet.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. Your data is deleted after you unsubscribe.
7. Embedded content (YouTube)
Some pages contain embedded YouTube videos. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you open a page with an embedded video, a connection to YouTube’s servers is made. Data (e.g. your IP address) may be transferred to YouTube and cookies may be set. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube may link your browsing to your profile.
